The Yellow Dog Project

Over the past couple of years we have adopted two shelter dogs. With a shelter dog with often come interesting quirks.

For example- when we first got Annie she wouldn't eat unless one of us sat in the floor with her because she was afraid we would leave her and never come back.

Both of our dogs have progressed so much , but they still have some difficult days.  Bandit has the most bad days.  In order to help our walks around the neighborhood go as smoothly as possible we tie a piece of yellow fabric to Bandit's leash so people understand to give her some extra space.

Felting Sweater Basics and Blanket Tutorial

I have been wanting to try sweater felting for a while.  I picked up some sweaters at a thrift store about a year ago and they sat in my closet until just recently when I decided I should jump into felting.  I started with several sweaters of different textures and wool mixes to figure out what would work the best.

After my sweaters were felted I cut them up to create a patchwork blanket.
